Early in the morning, Lala was already wide awake, eager to start the day. Today was a special day because Mom needed help preparing food for the chickens and ducks. Without hesitation, Lala rushed to the kitchen, ready to be her little assistant. Mom smiled warmly—she knew how much Lala loved being helpful.
Together, they washed vegetables, sliced sweet potatoes, and mixed rice bran. Lala watched closely, copying Mom’s actions with her tiny hands. Each time something fell, she giggled and picked it up again. Mom praised her effort, guiding her gently and making sure she stayed safe near the hot stove. Once the pot was boiling, Lala stirred slowly while Mom supervised. The bubbling sound excited her—she knew the ducks and chickens would soon be happy and full. When the food was ready, Mom scooped it into a big bucket, and Lala helped carry it outside. Though it was heavy, she held tightly, determined to do her part.
As they reached the yard, the chickens clucked and the ducks waddled over, hungry and noisy. Lala laughed as they gathered around her feet. Mom poured the food, and Lala spread it gently so every animal could eat. She even talked to them, telling them to be patient and share nicely.
Watching them peck and quack happily made Lala feel proud. Mom hugged her and said she was her best helper. Moments like these showed how much responsibility Lala was learning—caring for animals, helping in the kitchen, and understanding teamwork.
