The morning sun had barely risen when CUTIS prepared for one of his most challenging missions yet. With a small woven basket on his back and a determined sparkle in his eyes, he gently tugged on the rope tied to the family goat, Mumu. Today, CUTIS and Mumu had to travel deep into the orchard to harvest ripe jackfruits, then bring them to the market to sell. It sounded simple, but the journey was far from easy.
The path was rough—muddy puddles, slippery stones, and small hills made every step a test of patience. Mumu, curious and stubborn, kept stopping to nibble on grass. CUTIS sighed, patted the goat’s head, and encouraged him to keep moving. “Come on, Mumu… we need to get those jackfruits before the rain comes,” he whispered.
When they finally reached the jackfruit tree, CUTIS quickly got to work. The fruits were huge, heavier than he expected. He climbed carefully, using both hands to cut the stems. Each jackfruit dropped with a soft thud, surprising Mumu, who jumped back in fear. CUTIS giggled, wiping sweat from his forehead. Soon, the basket was full, and Mumu carried two jackfruits tied to his saddle.
The trip back was even harder. Dark clouds gathered, and the wind picked up. CUTIS held onto Mumu, trying to keep the jackfruits steady. By the time they reached the market, both boy and goat were drenched but relieved.
Despite the exhaustion, CUTIS proudly arranged the jackfruits on the mat. People admired his hard work, and sales came quickly. As he shared a piece of jackfruit with Mumu, CUTIS smiled. The journey had been difficult, but together they overcame every challenge—turning a tough day into a story worth telling.
