Instead of being upset, Mom gently praised him for telling the truth and taking responsibility. “Accidents happen,” she said warmly. “What matters is that you were honest and tried your best to fix it.”
Relieved and comforted, CUTIS felt proud again — not because the trip was perfect, but because he handled the mistake bravely. That day, he learned that responsibility isn’t about avoiding problems, but about facing them with honesty and courage.
