Early in the morning, the sun rose gently over the village as young Cutis Farmer woke up full of energy. Today was a special day because he promised to help his dad take their ducks into the fields. With his little hat on and a big smile, Cutis rushed outside, excited for his farm adventure.
His dad was already waiting beside the duck pen. Hundreds of ducks quacked loudly, ready to start their day. “Are you ready, Cutis?” his dad asked. Cutis nodded happily and opened the gate slowly. The ducks waddled out in a long, noisy line, following them down the path. Cutis laughed as he tried to keep them in order, waving his tiny stick like a real farmer.
As they reached the rice field, the ducks joyfully splashed into the water. They spread out, swimming, eating insects, and helping clean the field naturally. Cutis watched proudly—he felt like he was doing something very important. His dad patted him on the shoulder and said, “Good job, son. The ducks love your help!”
Throughout the morning, Cutis walked around, keeping an eye on the flock. Sometimes he chased the naughty ducks who wandered away. Sometimes he stood next to his dad, learning how farmers work together with animals. He didn’t realize how tired he was until they stopped for lunch under a tree. His dad shared fresh fruit with him and they laughed about the funniest duck moments.
When it was time to bring the ducks back home, Cutis led the way confidently. The ducks followed him just like soldiers following their leader. As they reached the pen, dad proudly said, “You did amazing today!”
Cutis felt like a true farmer. Helping his dad, guiding the ducks, and working in the fields made him happier than anything else. He couldn’t wait for tomorrow to do it all again!
