Dad came home late in the afternoon, his shoulders heavy and his face full of tired lines after a long day of hard work. Even though he tried to smile, CUTIS and BUEM immediately noticed something was different. The two little ones looked at each other, as if silently agreeing that today was their turn to take care of Dad.
CUTIS gently held Dad’s hand and led him to sit down, patting his shoulder like a grown-up. BUEM ran to the kitchen, carefully bringing a cup of water with both hands. It was a simple gesture, but it made Dad laugh softly. His tired eyes slowly filled with warmth as he watched his children try their best.
Not stopping there, CUTIS picked up a small towel and pretended to fan Dad, saying he needed to “cool down.” BUEM climbed onto Dad’s lap, hugging him tightly and refusing to let go. The house echoed with laughter as BUEM made silly faces, determined to cheer Dad up no matter what.
