CUTIS Breaks Yen Nhi’s Things and Dad’s Loving Way of Handling

One playful afternoon, CUTIS and little Yen Nhi were playing together in the living room. Toys were scattered everywhere, and laughter filled the house. In the middle of their game, CUTIS grabbed one of Yen Nhi’s favorite toys — a colorful music box she loved dearly.

“I’ll show you something cool!” CUTIS said excitedly.

But in his eagerness, he twisted it a little too hard.

Crack!

The sound froze the room. The music stopped. The lid of the box hung loosely to one side. CUTIS stared at it in shock, while Yen Nhi’s smile slowly faded. Within seconds, her eyes filled with tears.

“I’m sorry…” CUTIS whispered, his voice trembling.

Dad, who had heard the noise, came into the room. He looked at the broken toy, then at Yen Nhi crying, and finally at CUTIS standing there with guilt written all over his face. For a brief moment, everything felt tense.

But instead of raising his voice, Dad knelt down calmly.

He gently comforted Yen Nhi first, wiping her tears and hugging her close. “It’s okay, sweetheart. We can try to fix it,” he said softly. Then he turned to CUTIS.

“Accidents happen,” Dad explained kindly. “But when we borrow or use someone else’s things, we must be extra careful.”

CUTIS nodded, his eyes watery. He truly hadn’t meant to break it. Dad placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. “The important thing is that you admit your mistake and try to make it right.”

Together, Dad and CUTIS carefully examined the music box. With a little patience and teamwork, they managed to repair it enough for the melody to play again. Yen Nhi’s tears turned into a small, hopeful smile.

That day, CUTIS learned a valuable lesson — not just about being careful, but about responsibility and honesty. And through Dad’s loving and calm way of handling the situation, the family turned a small accident into a meaningful moment of growth and understanding.
