Early in the morning, Dad headed out to work while the sun was still rising over the farm. He spent hours fixing fences, carrying feed, and cleaning the barn. By the afternoon, his shirt was soaked with sweat and his steps had grown slow from exhaustion. Even though he was tired, Dad kept working because he wanted everything to be perfect for his family.
CUTIS and Buem watched from a distance. They could see how hard Dad was working and began to feel worried. Instead of playing like usual, the two little monkeys whispered to each other as if planning something important.
When Dad finally came back to the house to rest, he sat down heavily on the chair and closed his eyes for a moment. That was when CUTIS and Buem quietly started their sweet surprise.
Buem brought a small towel and gently wiped the sweat from Dad’s forehead. CUTIS ran to the kitchen and returned with a cup of cool water, carefully holding it with both hands. They moved slowly and carefully, trying not to make noise.
Dad opened his eyes and was surprised to see the two of them standing there, looking at him with caring expressions. He smiled warmly and took the water. His tired face slowly brightened.
But they weren’t finished yet. CUTIS softly patted Dad’s shoulder while Buem fanned him with a small notebook to create a cool breeze. Mom watched the scene and felt her heart melt.
This simple act of love made Dad forget all his tiredness. He hugged CUTIS and Buem tightly, feeling proud of how thoughtful they were.
That day, the sweetest care didn’t come from medicine or rest, but from the loving hearts of two little monkeys who just wanted to take care of their hardworking Dad.
