CUTIS never expected the morning to turn into such a big adventure. Dad had taken the goats out early to graze near the green fields by the river. Everything seemed normal until one curious little goat wandered off while Dad was busy fixing a broken fence. By the time he looked up, the goat was nowhere to be seen. Dad searched everywhere, calling out and checking behind bushes, but the naughty goat had completely disappeared.
When CUTIS noticed Dad’s worried face, he immediately understood something was wrong. With bright, alert eyes and quick little steps, CUTIS decided to help. He sniffed around the yard, then followed the small hoof prints leading away from the field. Buem watched with excitement as CUTIS confidently led the way like a tiny detective on an important mission.
The trail led them through tall grass, across a muddy path, and toward the edge of the forest. CUTIS carefully listened for any sound. Suddenly, he heard a faint “maa… maa…” coming from behind a cluster of thick bushes. Without hesitation, CUTIS rushed over and gently pushed through the leaves.
There, tangled in some vines, was the lost goat looking tired and scared. CUTIS quickly called Dad with cheerful sounds and gestures. Dad hurried over, relieved and amazed by CUTIS’s cleverness. Together, they freed the goat and brought it safely back home.
Dad couldn’t stop smiling. He hugged CUTIS tightly, proud of his smart and caring little helper. Buem clapped happily, celebrating the successful rescue. What could have been a stressful day turned into a heartwarming moment of teamwork and love.
From that day on, Dad always trusted CUTIS whenever the goats went out to graze, knowing that this little hero would always be ready to help.
