It was a quiet morning, and Lala was feeling a little lonely. Mom and Dad had gone out for the day, leaving her to rest at home. She curled up on the couch with her blanket, staring out the window, when suddenly she heard a gentle knock at the door.
Curious, Lala jumped up and opened it—only to find Grandma standing there with a big smile and a basket full of treats!
“Grandma!” Lala squealed, her eyes lighting up with joy. She ran straight into her arms, hugging her tightly. “I didn’t know you were coming!”
Grandma chuckled softly. “Your mom asked me to visit and take care of you for a few days. I thought I’d surprise my little sunshine.”
Lala’s tail wagged with excitement. “Yay! We’re going to have so much fun!”
Grandma set down her basket, which was filled with fresh fruit, snacks, and a few small gifts. Together, they spent the morning cooking porridge and laughing as Lala tried to help stir the pot. When breakfast was ready, Grandma gently fed her spoonfuls of warm, delicious food, just the way she used to when Lala was small.
After breakfast, they played simple games, told stories, and watered the flowers in the garden. Lala loved listening to Grandma’s calm, gentle voice and the way she made everything feel safe and cozy.
When it was time for a nap, Grandma tucked Lala into bed, smoothing her hair. “Sleep well, my dear,” she whispered.
Lala smiled sleepily. “I’m so happy you’re here, Grandma.”
As she drifted off to sleep, Grandma stayed by her side, humming softly. For Lala, the day had turned from lonely to filled with love—and the warmth of Grandma’s care made everything perfect.
