Early one sunny morning, CUTIS tiptoed through the house with a mischievous sparkle in his eyes. Dad was still asleep, the baby monkey was snuggled in his blanket, and the whole house was quietâperfect for CUTISâs âsecret mission.â He had decided, for some unimaginable reason, to gather EVERYTHING he could find and secretly sell it at the market.
First, he grabbed Dadâs old sandals. âHe doesnât need these⌠he has new ones,â CUTIS whispered to himself proudly. Next, he took Momâs cooking spoon, a pillow, a hairbrush, and even the baby monkeyâs banana toy. Each item went straight into his large basket, which was now so full he could barely lift it.
CUTIS peeked around the room again. âHmm⌠what else can be sold?â He spotted the TV remote sticking out from the couch. With a quick swipeâshoop!âit disappeared into the basket too. The baby monkey woke up and stared in confusion. âCUTIS⌠what are you doing?â he squeaked.
CUTIS put a finger to his lips. âShhh. Secret business!â
The baby monkey, curious and excited, joined the mission. Together they sneaked around, collecting little thingsâsocks, toys, scissors, cups, even Dadâs favorite hatâuntil the basket was overflowing.
With great effort, CUTIS dragged the wobbling basket toward the door. But just as he was about to escape, Dad walked out and froze. His eyes widened. âCUTIS!! Why is half the house in that basket?!â
CUTIS gave the biggest innocent smile and pointed at a tiny sign he made: âFor Sale â Help Buy Snacks!â
Dad burst into laughter. The scene was so unbelievable and so funny that he couldnât even be angry. CUTIS only wanted snacksâbut he almost sold the whole house to get them!
