Early in the morning, CUTIS woke up with an exciting plan. Today, he would take his loyal goat, Mumu, to the coconut grove and harvest fresh coconuts to sell at the market. With the money he earned, CUTIS secretly planned to buy a sweet reward—not just for himself, but also for Mumu and the other goats waiting at home.
As the sun rose, CUTIS tied a small cart behind Mumu and guided him down the dusty path toward the coconut trees. Mumu trotted happily, jingling the little bell around his neck. When they arrived, CUTIS wasted no time. He climbed the tall coconut trees using his strong arms and legs, tapping each fruit to pick the ripest ones. Below, Mumu watched proudly, occasionally tugging on a leaf or munching fallen coconuts.
One by one, CUTIS dropped the coconuts down safely. Soon the cart was full. “Good job, Mumu! Let’s go sell these,” CUTIS cheered. Together they headed to the market, where the fresh coconuts attracted many buyers. Within an hour, they sold everything. CUTIS counted the money, his eyes sparkling. He knew exactly what he wanted next.
At the ice cream stall, CUTIS bought a big cup of creamy vanilla ice cream for himself and smaller cups for the goats. Mumu bleated excitedly, knowing something delicious was coming.
Back home, CUTIS gathered all the goats under the shade of a mango tree. He placed the cups in front of them, and the goats happily licked their treats, tails wagging like excited puppies. Mumu even nudged CUTIS as if saying thank you.
Watching his furry friends enjoy the cool sweetness, CUTIS felt warm inside. Hard work, teamwork, and a little kindness had turned an ordinary day into a joyful celebration.
